Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Moneo ("the Service"), available at Moneo.one, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Moneo.

2. Service Description

Moneo is an AI-powered personal budget management platform that helps users track income, expenses, savings goals, and net worth. The Service includes:

  • MUST/NEED/WANT priority-based budgeting with auto-distribution
  • AI-powered smart budget assistant (powered by Morpheus decentralized AI)
  • Receipt scanning via OCR
  • Analytics, charts, and financial insights
  • Bill reminders and savings goal tracking
  • Telegram bot integration for mobile access
  • Multi-user workspace collaboration (up to 3 users)
  • Data export in JSON, CSV, and PDF formats

3. Account Registration

To use Moneo, you must create an account by providing:

  • A valid email address and password, OR
  • A compatible cryptocurrency wallet (via Web3 wallet connection)

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

4. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. During the trial:

  • No payment information is required to start the trial.
  • All features are available without restrictions.
  • The trial begins immediately upon account creation.
  • At the end of the 30-day trial, you must subscribe to continue using the Service. If you do not subscribe, your account will enter "expired" status and access to the dashboard will be restricted.
  • The trial is limited to one per user. Creating multiple accounts to extend the trial period is a violation of these Terms.

5. Subscription & Payment

5.1 Pricing

Moneo is available as an annual subscription at $59 per year. This is the standard pricing; promotional or discounted pricing may be offered at our discretion and will be clearly communicated.

5.2 Payment Processing

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method the applicable subscription fee.

5.3 Non-Refundable Payments

All subscription payments are non-refundable. Once a payment has been processed, we do not offer refunds, whether full or partial, for any reason including but not limited to:

  • Cancellation of subscription before the end of the billing period
  • Failure to use the Service during the subscription period
  • Dissatisfaction with the Service
  • Accidental purchase (you had 30 days of free trial to evaluate the Service)

We strongly encourage you to fully evaluate the Service during the 30-day free trial before subscribing. If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access until the end of the current billing period.

5.4 Subscription Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically each year unless canceled through the Stripe billing portal (accessible from Settings > Subscription > Manage). You can cancel auto-renewal at any time; your access will continue until the end of the paid period.

6. MOR Staking Access

As an alternative to paid subscription, users who stake Morpheus (MOR) tokens above the required threshold receive complimentary access to Moneo. The following terms apply:

  • Staking threshold: The minimum MOR staking amount required for free access is set by Moneo and may change at any time. The current threshold is displayed on the landing page and in Settings.
  • Continuous verification: Staking status is verified periodically. If your staked amount falls below the threshold, your access will be revoked and you will need to subscribe to continue using the Service.
  • No guarantee of permanent access: MOR staking access is provided as a partnership benefit and may be modified or discontinued at our discretion with reasonable notice.
  • Wallet responsibility: You are solely responsible for the security of your cryptocurrency wallet. Moneo is not responsible for any loss of tokens, wallet compromise, or staking-related issues.

7. Data Retention

After your subscription or trial expires:

  • Your data remains in our database for 12 months. During this period, resubscribing will restore full access to all your data.
  • At 5 months after expiry, we will send a warning notification (via Telegram if linked, and/or email) informing you that your data will be deleted in 30 days.
  • At approximately 6 months minus 7 days, we will send a final warning giving you 7 days to resubscribe or export your data.
  • At 6 months after expiry, all your data (expenses, incomes, categories, goals, bills, assets, liabilities, achievements, chat history, and workspace data) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted.
  • We strongly recommend exporting your data in JSON or CSV format before your subscription expires. Data export is available from Settings > Data Export while your subscription is active.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
  • Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
  • Abuse the AI assistant for purposes unrelated to personal finance
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent the free trial limitation
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service, without prior notice or liability, if:

  • You breach any of these Terms of Service
  • You create multiple accounts to abuse the free trial
  • You engage in fraudulent activity or attempt to compromise the Service
  • You abuse the AI assistant or Service infrastructure (excessive API calls, spam, etc.)
  • We are required to do so by law or legal process
  • Your account has been inactive for more than 12 months with an expired subscription

You may also voluntarily terminate your account at any time from Settings > Delete Account. Voluntary termination results in immediate and irreversible deletion of all your data.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, features, code, and content (excluding user-submitted data) are owned by Moneo and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service.

11. Disclaimers

  • Not financial advice: Moneo is a budgeting tool, not a financial advisor. AI-generated insights are for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional financial, investment, or tax advice.
  • No guarantees: We do not guarantee that using Moneo will result in any specific financial outcomes, savings, or improvements.
  • Service availability: The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure operation of the Service at all times.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Moneo and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will provide notice via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.
